The prevalence of mental disorders in the population over 18 years old in our province was 17.56%. The total prevalence rate in the past 10 years has not changed significantly. Zuo Yi, deputy director of the Shandong Provincial Health Planning Commission, introduced the province’s fourth epidemiological survey of mental disorders and collected 49 counties (cities, districts) and 96 streets (townships) across the province, completing an effective investigation of 27,463 people. After the standardization, the prevalence of mental disorders in the population over 18 years old was 17.56 percent, 4.76 percent of their central obstacles, 4.3 percent of anxiety disorders, and 100 percent of substance use disorders. Compared with the historical data, the overall prevalence of mental disorders in the population did not change significantly, but the prevalence of organic mental disorders such as Alzheimer's disease increased significantly.
