Volkswagen is the "big brother" in the traditional car! This time, the new energy electric car that he released is a stunning figure in terms of appearance and performance. What is he like? Cheyous will take a look with Xiaobian!
I don't know when, when I mentioned the public, the first reaction of some of my friends was too old and not cool enough. The reason, I think, perhaps the classic models such as "Jeddah" and "Santana" make it difficult for the public to unload the brand image.
In addition to these functions, the ID concept car is also equipped with the autopilot system "ID Cruise". We will leave a detailed description of this system in the ID CROZZ concept car below.
Perhaps it is afraid that everyone will forget the ID concept car. Volkswagen launched the second concept car of the ID family at the beginning of this year: ID BUZZ. This model is positioned on the MPV model and pays tribute to the popular "T-series van" in its exterior design. The upper and lower two-coloured body is easily reminiscent of the T1 and T2 models, while the multiple windows on the side are also full of vintage. Like the ID concept car, the rearview mirror design has been removed from the ID BUZZ.
The ID BUZZ has two motors on the front and rear axles, with an integrated output of 369 hp and four-wheel drive. Volkswagen is equipped with a 111kWh battery pack on this model. Under NEDC conditions, the maximum cruising range of the vehicle can exceed 600 kilometers. At the same time, Volkswagen also extended the auto-driving system "ID Cruise" carried on the ID concept car to ID BUZZ.
This time at the Shanghai Auto Show, Volkswagen released the ID CROZZ concept car positioned in the cross-border multi-purpose model, the public called it "CUV." The launch of this model also confirms that cross-border, coupe SUV models are gradually becoming a trend, and one of the future design trends of electric vehicles. Unlike the "Waist" design that everyone liked to spit before, this model has a more aura. The closed front grille first showed its identity as a pure electric vehicle, and the biggest highlight was that the mass designer designed a set of purple LED strips on the ID CROZZ headlights and roof, with a fully transparent car. Top, laid a scientific and technological tone for the whole vehicle.
In order to solve this problem and promote their own electric vehicle strategy, the public chose to make timely adjustments. They have launched the ID concept car and the ID Buzz since last year. This time, Volkswagen took the ID car's third model "ID CROZZ" concept car to the Shanghai Auto Show. Before introducing ID CROZZ, let's first take a look at the history of the ID series.
At the Paris Motor Show last year, Volkswagen launched the ID concept car worldwide. This pure electric model is based on the Volkswagen MEB platform. The rear axle of the vehicle is equipped with a 125kW electric motor with a top speed of 160km/h. Volkswagen will also be equipped with different capacity battery packs for the ID concept car. Under NEDC conditions, the vehicle's cruising range is between 400km and 600km.
Volkswagen replaced the traditional button operation with a touch screen, capacitive keyboard and voice and gesture control system on this model, while eliminating the rearview mirror design. In addition, they are equipped with a customizable full LCD instrument and AR augmented reality head-up display inside the ID concept car.
Through this dazzling array of devices, the public can also dig deeper into more features. They can store user information in the cloud while being activated and converted to a digital key via a smartphone. Once the driver uses the "digital key system" to get close to the vehicle, the ID concept car can identify them and then automatically adapt to all the personal habits of the car.
Like the ID and ID BUZZ, the ID CROZZ concept car is also based on the popular MEB platform. Volkswagen has placed a motor in front of and behind the concept car, with an integrated output of 225 kW and an all-wheel drive. Driven by a dual motor, the ID CROZZ has a top speed of 180km/h.
Volkswagen also revealed that the ID CROZZ concept car is equipped with the autopilot function "ID Cruise". The biggest highlight of this feature is that its startup method is very special: the user needs to press the "VW" logo on the steering wheel for 3 seconds, the steering wheel will be retracted, and then the automatic driving system will start. In the auto-driving state, the four laser scanners on the ID CROZZ roof will bulge and a halo will indicate that the vehicle is in autopilot mode. After a close look, I also found that the front camera and the side area camera on the ID CROZZ are still hidden. In particular, the side camera is basically integrated with the B-pillar of the body.
About ID CROZZ This concept car, Volkswagen Brand Management Board Chairman Herbert Diess also expressed his opinion, he believes that ID CROZZ will play a key role in the "Volkswagen 2025 Strategy", this model will start production in 2020. It will also be the first product of Volkswagen's future series of pure electric vehicles to enter the country.
From the original ID concept car to the ID family now consisting of three concept cars, Volkswagen's electric car strategy has gradually surfaced. When faced with problems such as the reshuffle of the industry and the impending point of the turning point, how the world's top car companies quickly completed the transformation, the public personally made a demonstration. As for the results, I am afraid I will wait until the day when the ID family is officially mass-produced.
As a pure electric car, cruising range is crucial. Volkswagen used a set of 83kWh lithium battery packs on IDCROZZ, which has a maximum cruising range of 500 kilometers under NEDC conditions. In addition, Volkswagen also revealed that IDCROZZ can charge 80% in 30 minutes using a 150kW DC charging system.
Like the ID concept car, Volkswagen has replaced the traditional button operation with a touch screen, capacitive keyboard and voice and gesture control system. In addition to the customizable full LCD instrument and AR augmented reality head-up display, ID CROZZ also added a tablet with an integrated infotainment system inside the vehicle. In addition, the "digital key system" on the ID concept car was also carried to ID CROZZ this time.
