The GM Chevrolet Bolt electric car is very popular in South Korea. It is reported that GM has begun to deliver electric vehicles worldwide this year and has confirmed the delivery of 5,000 Chevrolet Bolt electric cars in South Korea.
According to foreign media reports, GM has confirmed that it will deliver 5,000 Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles in South Korea this year, and South Korea will become an important market for general-purpose electric vehicles.
GM delivered 23,000 Chevrolet Bolt electric cars in the US last year, but it currently has limited sales in other markets. But 2018 is a very important year for GM, because GM's only pure electric vehicle will be sold worldwide.
The reporter was informed that GM delivered only 600 Chevrolet Bolt electric cars in South Korea last year. Although the infrastructure in South Korea is still not perfect, Korean customers have expressed strong welcome to the Chevrolet Bolt zero-emission electric car. On January 15th, Korean customers can start booking Blot electric cars in advance, but the delivery date will wait until April.
The South Korean government will provide electric vehicle buyers with subsidies of up to 12 million won (about US$11,200). After the subsidies are removed, the price of Bolt electric vehicles in Korea is expected to be 27 million to 28 million won (about 25,000-2.6). Ten thousand U.S. dollars).
South Korea developed a subsidy policy last year. The subsidy policy stipulates that electric vehicles can only be fully charged within 10 hours, and standard board is required to enjoy the subsidy policy. This subsidy policy is unfair to electric vehicles with long battery life using large battery packs. For example, Tesla electric cars and GM Chevrolet Bolt electric cars, which can fully charge the battery within 10 hours, but they use a Level 2 standard charger or a fast charger instead of a standard charger.
The Korean government formulated the subsidy policy in June last year, but revised it in September. The revised subsidy policy will help more popular electric vehicles enter Korea. As a result, GM plans to deliver a large number of Chevrolet Bolt electric vehicles in South Korea this year.
